FAQ

Frequently asked Questions about our strength training programs and Facility

Do I need to be an athlete?

No. Absolutely not. High quality coaching and facilities should not be exclusive to competitive athletes. However, we do have several requirements – these include hard work, consistency, and commitment. If you want to take control of your health and fitness invest in Epic.

What is the first step to joining?

As a locally owned gym that cares about our members, we want to meet anyone interested prior to joining. Call, email, or fill out this form to set up a time.

How do I fill out a waiver?

You can view our waiver online here. You can either print it out at home and bring it in or come to the front desk at our location.

Why should I hire a trainer/coach?

Accountability. Improving your health & fitness really comes down to consistent habits for exercise, nutrition, and recovery. A trainer’s primary job is help you build these habits.

Technique. How you perform each rep of every exercise is something not enough athletes or gym goers pay attention to. While you can get results (build muscle, lose fat) with less than great technique, how you perform
exercises will matter a great deal over the long term. Your goal should be to provide an effective stimulus with the least amount of wear and tear on your body and the less risk of injury.

A professional workout partner. Great training partners are a huge advantage. Honest feedback, pushing you at just the right times, and spotting. A great spotter knows exactly when to provide just enough assistance to allow you to work harder than you could on your own. This is an invaluable skill.
